Let’s start things off with you. Tell our readers and me a little bit about you and one random interesting fact!

My name is CL Stacey and I write contemporary romance with a whole lotta angst. I was born and raised in Florida, and after 30 years, I still haven’t developed the urge to leave. I love it here and can’t imagine myself living anywhere else!

I’m a DIE-HARD GoT fan. I’m also a football fan, but I’d rather hang from my fingernails than support the Tampa Bay Bucs. GO PATRIOTS (my husband hates me for this)! I collect sunglasses, of all things. I hoard paperbacks but never read them (I read the e-copy on my Kindle). I’m not all that interesting, but I am super random.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not writing?

I enjoy the crap out of spending time with my kid. She comes first, and that’s why it takes me so long to put books out. She’s a ball of fire, my little one. Ayli, Aryn’s daughter, from Plan B is actually based off my little girl.

When did you start writing?

Randomly. I had just gotten back into reading after having my kid, and I ended up falling hard for SC Stephens and Colleen Hoover’s writing style. I did my research and found that Stephens started writing on FictionPress, so that’s what I did and I discovered that I loved it. It wasn’t until I looked into Colleen Hoover’s background that I decided to self-publish! Great role models. I absolutely love them.

Tell me about what it was like for you writing and publishing your first book.

I was scared as hell! There’s a little piece of me in each book and character, so it feels a lot like publishing my diary. It makes this whole process extremely personal. Even now, I feel really SICK when getting to release a book. Seriously… it’s absolutely terrifying.

Can you tell me a little bit about your recently published novel?

This story centers around two people living with loss. One is a fighter, and the other a runner. While Aryn has found a way to carry on, Bethany still carries her pain around with her every day. A chance meeting brings these two together, but one secret threatens to drive them apart.

It’s emotional, it’s angsty, it’s fun! This story is about pushing past your fears and fighting for what you want. It’s about being brave enough for the person you love.

What’s your favorite part about being an author?

Creating a world I can escape to for a couple months!

Where do you get your best ideas?

In songs. If heard at the right place and time, that song can open up a whole book of ideas for me. Gaga is what inspired Plan B. “A Million Reasons” is what started it, and “The Cure” is what ended it.

What are you currently working on?

Do you have any new projects coming up? I’m still in the outlining process right now, trying to figure out which story speaks to me most. Nothing concrete yet, unfortunately.

Let’s start things off with you. Tell our readers and me a little bit about you and one random interesting fact!

Thank you, Brooke for the opportunity to be here on your beautiful website. You just popped my interview cherry by the way, that’s super awesome. Sorry, bad humor aside, I’m Elisa Leigh, and I’m an author. (I’m picturing a room full of people in an Author’s Anonymous meeting looking at me as I awkwardly wave) Anywhoo… I live in North Florida with my husband, son, and kitty Zuri. In real life, I teach second grade, which is pretty fun. When I’m not shaping the lives of our children, I write Contemporary Romance (the fun sexy kind).

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not writing?

I love being around my family and playing cards or board games. My family is hilarious and it’s the conversations I have with them that I love most. I love being around my mom. We can talk for hours about life and just hang out. We’re a lot alike in most ways and she’s one of my best friends. I also love going to the beach in the winter so I can bundle up and just watch the waves. I’m pretty introverted and quiet (a lot going on in my head most of the time) and I like to be at peace, the beach does that for me. Of course, I can’t leave out reading, I LOVE to read.

When did you start writing?

I liked to write when I was little and in high school, mostly short stories and poetry. I didn’t start to take it seriously until July 2015. I was sitting in a teacher training when the idea for Keeping Our Forever came to me. I sat and wrote 3 pages during our lunch break, and kept looking around praying no one looked at what I was writing. Nobody cared what I was writing, but I just kept thinking “oh man, this is some naughty stuff, I better not get caught.” I’m a nerd, moving on.

Tell me about what it was like for you writing and publishing your first book.

When I first started reading romance novels, I didn’t realize it was such a diverse genre. The more I started binging on books the more I began to figure out my love of menage. I knew what a menage’ trois was, but I always pictured two girls and a guy. Oh, baby was I wrong. There are so many kinds of menage books out there, and let me tell you, I fell in love. I love my kink, but I need some substance, jeesh you guys, I’m not that kind of girl. I eventually narrowed it down to one girl with 2, 3, 4, or 7 guys, completely devoted to her and her happiness. Who wouldn’t want a relationship like that, right? There just aren’t enough books like that out there, or there weren’t when I began writing Keeping Our Forever.

It took me two years to write and publish Keeping Our Forever, which I did in April 2017. I had to learn everything about getting self-published through research. After I published my first book I realized how much I still needed to learn to be a better writer and to get my book out there for people to read.It has been an exciting time and I’m not ready to quit yet. It hasn’t all been rainbows and daisies, but it has been a time of great personal growth as I accomplished something I never thought I would.

Can you tell me a little bit about your recently published novel?

Finally, Our Forever is the story of Maci Kate and Reece Atwood. This book comes first in the timeline of the Panthera Security Series but is my second published book. You meet Maci Kate and Reece in Keeping Our Forever as a happily married couple. I couldn’t move on in my series, without first telling their story, so I backtracked and brought them to life. This is a second chance, friends-to-lovers romance, and I absolutely fell in love with these two while writing.

What’s your favorite part about being an author?

The readers are my favorite part. I love hearing what people have to say after they have read one of my books. I like to talk to them about the plot and where they hope the series is going next. I treasure the friendships I’ve gained from being a part of the Romance writers and readers community.

Where do you get your best ideas?

My best ideas come from what’s around me. I usually get an idea from a picture or a news article, then I pull from my relationships with my friends and family and build from there. Once I get in the zone, as cheesy as it sounds, I let the characters lead the way. For both of my novels, I had projected the novel to go a certain direction and after writing thousands of words, what I had originally planned didn’t fit with the character and world I’d created. I had to learn that it’s more important, for me, to go with the flow of the character than to stick with my original idea.

What are you currently working on? Do you have any new projects coming up?

I’m currently working on the third book of the Panthera Security Series. This will be another menage book, featuring Callie, Olivia’s best friend, and Paul and Ryan. All three of these characters are in Keeping Our Forever, and you even get a taste of Paul and Ryan in Finally, Our Forever.

Once I have finished book 3 Fighting for Our Forever, I will be writing a fourth and fifth book to finish out the series. I’m excited for what I have planned and can’t wait to share it.

Let’s start things off with you.  Tell our readers and me a little bit about you and one random interesting fact!

Hi! Thank you for this interview! My name is Ember-Raine Winters and I write Romantic Suspense and Steamy Contemporary Romance! I live all the way out in Central California with my two beautiful children. I love music of all kinds but especially country.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not writing?

When I’m not writing? Haha. It seems like I’m always writing these days! I love to read and watch fantasy TV shows and movies. We have a weekly family movie night. It’s awesome.

Tell me about what it was like for you writing and publishing your first book.

My first book wasn’t all that interesting. LOL! I just randomly decided to publish it one night after taking more than two years to write. But, it was all downhill from there. I have a bunch of books now and no matter what the butterflies in my stomach never change with each new book.

Can you tell me a little bit about your recently published novel?

The latest book is the fourth and final book in my Pride and Honor Series Beautiful Surrender. It follows Trey and Kenzie as they try to get their family back from the evil Barnes who kidnapped them in book 3. Kenzie is a tough nut to crack and believes that loving her is a death sentence so she tries to keep Trey at arm’s length, but he’s not having it.

What’s your favorite part about being an author?

The readers! I love hearing from readers who have enjoyed my books and romance readers are some of the funniest and supportive people in the world! They are by far the best part.

Where do you get your best ideas?

Funnily enough, some of my ideas for books have come from songs. There’s Something About Vegas came to me from listening to a Carrie Underwood song and honestly I have a few more ideas from songs of hers. But, I get ideas from everywhere. Sometimes I’ll be driving down the street and an idea will just slam into me and then I have to get home immediately so I can write it down.

What are you currently working on?  Do you have any new projects coming up?

I’m actually working on several things at the moment. I started an anthology for Veterans Day where all the proceeds will be donated to charity. It’s called Victor Echo Tango Love. Keep a lookout for it. It releases November 9th, 2017

I’m also working with an awesome group of 12 authors on Tales for the Season. It’s a Christmas Anthology and it’s going to be Epic!

I couldn’t stand to say goodbye to my GTT guys in Pride and Honor, so I have decided to put out a Christmas Book A Beautiful Christmas releases December 18th, 2017

And, last the second book in my Las Vegas Nights Series I will be writing that during National Novel Writing Month and will most likely publish early in the new year.
